Travel Support

U.S. students: We currently have funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation to fund travel and registration costs for U.S. students and early-career researchers.

To non-U.S. students: Students can apply for travel support by contacting the conference chairs. We are hoping to assign on the order of $500 to each student we can support, but the final amount will depend on the number and strength of applications.

Application (U.S. students):To apply for travel funding, applications should send the following material to Nathan Sturtevant (sturtevant@cs.du.edu) by May 7, 2017.

Application (non-U.S. students): To apply for travel funding, please send e-mail to both conference chairs (fukunaga@idea.c.u-tokyo.ac.jp and AKIHIROK@ie.ibm.com) with the title "Application for SoCS17 Non-US student travel funds", with the following information in the body of the e-mail by May 8, 2017:

For the applications of the non-U.S. students, presenters of full papers (long/short) will have highest priority, followed by presenters of extended abstracts / late-breaking posters. We will try to send notifications as soon as possible (possibly by May 10).
